A Marketing funnel that you fill, fascinate, flush, and then flip will, consequently, flourish.

The Four F’s of a Flourishing Funnel

  • Fill
  • Fascinate
  • Flush
  • Flip

Building a marketing funnel is arguably the most profitable use of your time. But not all marketing funnels are created equal. Some are dull, ordinary and fruitless – even damaging to your business. To avoid that futility, fill, fascinate, flush and flip your funnel (in that order).

  • Filling your funnel is the first thing you do, obviously. Otherwise, who are you going to fascinate? Grab their attention with an irresistible offer! If they find it irresistible, give it to ‘em; don’t delay – don’t make them jump through hoops! Offer them something great and deliver on it — fast. Make it easy for them to say, “Yes,” (and they will) and when they do, make them glad they did.
  • Fascinate your funnel by giving them something new, different, fun, relevant and (perhaps most important of all) useful. Keep giving, too. Out-give. Out-do. It’s not hard. Find what everyone else gives (and does) and give (and do) more — you’ll create immense goodwill and priceless trust.
  • Flushing your funnel is next, not before. A bond must be formed between you and the prospect before anything significant will be bought or sold. So spend the necessary time cultivating your relationship and then (dramatic pause) invite them to buy, which is the whole point of the funnel. Once they buy, they come out the other end of the funnel as a customer!
  • Flipping your funnel (popularized by Seth Godin) is the final step, which puts customers back in the funnel again – along with a bunch of their friends. One satisfied customer is like a brick of pure gold. If they bought once, they’ll buy again (some of you’re other great stuff) and not only that — they’ll become evangelists for you, sending you more prospects and customers.

Do whatever you must to make your prospects and customers happy (very happy)!
